Who are we?
The Scandinavian Bible Church was started in 2023 by pastor Bjørn Allansen, and his group of born again, Bible believing Christians.
We started the church based upon a need in Scandinavia for uncompromising preaching of the true Gospel, and a mission to bring as many to Christ as possible.
The Church is not a building, but is a group of born again believers coming together in the name of Christ, to his glory and worship, just as the Bible commands:
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20
What is a Bible Church, and what denomination are you a part of?
In short; we do not believe in different denominations, and other man made constitutions. Therefore we aren’t part of any denomination, but we are a part of the true church of Christ.
A Bible church is therefore a church that doesn’t cling unto a confession of faith by a denomination, nor what theologians through the times come up with of new modern criticism towards God’s Holy Word.
We stand by the Bible solely (Sola Scriptura), and back up our believes based upon what is in Scripture and not traditions of men:
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
Colossians 2:8.
What Bibles do you use and why?
We mainly use the Danish Resen Bible from 1607, the Swedish Reformation Bible, and the King James Bible from 1611.
In general however, we will stand by any translation of Scripture, as long as the Old Testament is based solely upon the Masoretic Text, and that the New Testament is based solely upon the Textus Receptus/Byzantine Text.
We do not endorse any “Bibles” based upon the Alexandrian text sources or the Septuagint, as we believe that these are false perversions of Scripture that have been created by heathen cult’s, all the way back from the day’s of the apostles:
“For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”
2. Corinthians 2:17.
What languages do you preach in?
We mainly preach in English, as we are a gathering of people from all parts of Scandinavia.
What are the key points of what you believe in?
- We believe that Christ is God, who came in the flesh, was a perfect sinless man, offered himself up for all the sins of every man, died on the cross, conquered death, and rose on the third day, so that we were given the eternal gift of salvation.
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” – 1. Corinthians 15:3-4. - We believe that the Word of God is Christ (Logos), and is perfect, with no error in it whatsoever
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” –Proverbs 30:5. - We believe in the Holy Trinity, which God the Father, Christ, and the Holy Spirit, which are one.
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” – 1. John 5:7. - We believe that the books of the Bible were written by God himself, but was put down into physical writing by the men who transcribed for him. Not that every book has opinions of man in them, or are dependent on the times in any way.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1. - We believe that man is born wicked and that sin is innate in him, and has been ever since the fall of man back in the Garden of Eden.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” – Romans 3:10-12. - We believe that no man can work himself to salvation, since it is impossible for man to justify himself before God.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” – Titus 3:5. - We therefore believe that man has a debt to be payed for all his sins, yet to be punished, who only Jesus Christ can save him from, by giving him the gift of cleansing away his sin, and thereby removing his debt.
“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” – Hebrews 9:22. - We believe in an actual, physical, real hell, where the fire is never quenched, and where all who refuse to believe are thrown into by God, to then later be judged of everything they have done, and lastly be thrown into The Lake of Fire, with Satan and all his demons.
“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:” – Mark 9:43 - We believe that man can be saved when God draws him, by repenting of his sins, turning his heart, soul, spirit, and mind towards God, accepting the gift of salvation, making him the Lord of his life, and believing upon him with his whole heart. Thus being born again.
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” – Acts 2:37-38. - We believe that once man is saved he can never loose his salvation, and that if someone departs from the faith they were never saved to begin with.
“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” – 1. John 2:19 - We believe that man has free will and that all men are called to be saved, but that they can resist and refuse to listen to God, and therefore meet their demise.
“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” – 1. Timothy 2:4. - We believe that baptism is only a burial by full immersion into water, which doesn’t save, but is commanded to be done once a man is saved, to show the symbolic burial of the flesh, and rebirth into the spirit.
“And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.” – Acts 8:36-38. - We believe that babies cannot go to hell, as they don’t know the difference between good and evil yet. Therefore, they cannot get born again yet either, nor baptized.
“Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.” – Deuteronomy 1:39. - Lastly, we believe, that anyone who doesn’t believe in these core foundational standards of Scripture, doesn’t preach the true Gospel of Christ, but is a false prophet, a wolf in sheeps clothing, either knowingly or unknowingly.
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” – Galatians 1:6-10.
